The chart above is from a new AP / NORC Poll -- done between April 14th and 18th of a nationwide sample of 1,085 adults, with a 3.9 point margin of error.
A Trump-appointed federal judge ruled that masks cannot be required on airplanes (and other transportation). But that goes against the wishes of a majority of Americans. About 56% favor requiring masks on airplanes, trains, and public transit.
Large pluralities also favor masks for workers who work with the public (49% to 27%) and people attending crowded public events (49% to 28%).
