Our Corrupt President Is Poised To Accept The Biggest Bribe In History

Donald Trump is not only the worst president in U.S. history - He is also the most corrupt.

Shortly after his election, he issued a meme coin which made him millions of dollars. Last week, we learned he was holding an auction of the coin. The biggest purchasers will get to attend a dinner with Trump (and get a tour of the White House). This is nothing more than Trump selling access to himself, and will make him millions more.

This week he is going to the Middle East, and while there he will receive the biggest single bribe in history. The leader of Qatar is going to give Trump a luxury Boeing 747-8 airplane worth about $400 million. Trump

This is a clear violation of the Emoluments Clause of the United States Constitution, which reads:

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8:

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

Trump thinks he can avoid the law by making the gift the property of the Department of Defense. But shortly before the end of Trump's term the plane will be given to the Trump Library.

That means no president other than Trump will ever ride in the plane - and it will continue to be available to him after his presidency ends. It is not a gift to the United States. It is a gift only to Donald Trump. That makes it a violation of the Emoluments Clause.

It is an immensely large BRIBE to the most corrupt president in American history. And the Republican-controlled Congress will do nothing about it! They would be upon arms about the tiniest gift to a Democratic president, but they don't care how many laws Trump breaks - or his failures to abide by the Constitution.
