It's been very slow in coming, but Americans are starting to figure out the truth about 9/11, and the culpability of Georgie's administration. Even though it was known that Georgie and his cohorts ignored a report showing Al-Queda was preparing to attack the United States, only 31% of Americans blamed his administration for 9/11 in June of 2002. That is now changing.
A new CNN poll released today shows that 45% of Americans believe that Georgie and his cohorts were responsible for 9/11 either a "great deal" or a "moderate amount". This cannot be good news for the Republicans. I think the Republicans were hoping to ride the 9/11 train to victory one more time this November. They may have to rethink that strategy now.
The poll had another interesting statistic. The poll says that 57% of Americans believe that the terrorists can attack again regardless of what any administration does to prevent it. Again, this doesn't bode well for the Republican strategy of answering "9/11" to every question. The people just don't think that Georgie can keep them safer than someone else.
This poll was conducted from August 30th through September 2nd.
