Four More States Show A Majority For Legalizing Marijuana

These charts show the results of new Quinnipiac University Polls asking respondents if they were in favor of legalizing small amounts of marijuana for personal use. The Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania surveys were released on April 14th. The Virginia and Iowa surveys were released on April 6th.

I found the results rather stunning, and show the change that is happening very quickly in this country. Four more states now have a majority favoring legalization, and another is split on the issue. Virginia favors legalization by a 13 point margin, Florida by a 13 point margin, Ohio by an 8 point margin, and Pennsylvania by a 6 point margin. Iowa respondents were split right down the middle -- with 47% supporting and 47% opposing legalization.

I doubt that any of these states would have had numbers this good even a year ago, and certainly not two or three years ago. People all over the country are changing their minds about marijuana, and that change is happening very fast.

  1. ALL DRUGS SHOULD BE LEGAL, and controlled by the medical people.
The whole 'war on drugs' is a dishonest myth made continuous by crooks and criminal politicals.
