Clinton Maintains A 20-Point Lead In National Poll
This chart represents the results of the newest poll done by the Monmouth University Poll. It was completed between August 31st and September 2nd of a random national sample of 339 registered Democratic voters, and has a margin of error of 5.3 points. It was released yesterday.
The poll release, and the cable news networks, trumpeted this as Clinton being in trouble (with shrinking support). I see it a bit differently. The poll shows that Hillary Clinton still maintains a huge lead in the Democratic presidential race -- a lead of 20 points. And her 42% support is the equal of the next two candidates combined (Bernie Sanders and possible candidate Joe Biden).
If this survey should worry anyone, I would think it should be Bernie Sanders. After all, it relegates him to third place with only 20% support. Biden finished second with 22% support -- and he is not even a candidate.
