Why would the scientists at the Climate Research Unit (CRU), University of East Anglia have to "fudge the data" at all, if made-made global warming was settled science? And why would they, along with the scientists at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies, fight tooth and nail to withhold data from Freedom of Information Act requests in their respective countries?
I'm not saying that man-made global warming isn't occurring, either now or in the past, but if the science is as settled as Al Gore and others claim it is, wouldn't these scientists want the whole world to examine their research so there would be no grounds for skepticism?
