Palin Popularity Falling - Especially In Alaska

Sarah Palin is still making noises like she wants to run for the presidency on the Republican ticket, but recent polls have shown that she is losing out to several other candidates (including the clownish Donald Trump) and has fallen in the polls over the last few months. She is doing good these days to finish fourth or fifth with 12% of the vote.

And it is no different in Alaska. A recent poll shows she has become very unpopular in her own home state (and that is not a good thing for someone wanting to run for national office). Here are her (and other Alaskan politicians) favorability numbers for the recent poll done by Dittman Research & Communications in Alaska:

DO YOU HAVE A FAVORABLE OR UNFAVORABLE OPINION OF. . .

Sarah Palin
favorable...............36% (13% very favorable)
unfavorable...............61% (39% very unfavorable)

Joe Miller (Palin's candidate for senator)
favorable...............18%
unfavorable...............73%

Sen. Lisa Murkowski (the Republican who beat Miller)
favorable...............71%
unfavorable...............27%

Senator Mark Begich
favorable...............57%
unfavorable...............33%

Rep. Don Young
favorable...............63%
unfavorable...............32%

Those are some pretty terrible numbers for a candidate in her home state, especially when compared with other Alaskan politicians. Frankly, she is starting to resemble those caribou she brags about shooting -- dead meat.
