The Threat

The map above is from the website TYWKIWDBI, and it gives us some serious food for thought. The blue-colored country in the middle is Iran. All of the many stars surrounding it are American military bases. We are constantly being told that Iran poses a danger to the United States, but after perusing this map it looks like we pose a far greater danger to them than they do to us. Do we really need all those military bases?

    Some have been there many years, due to our wanting a military influence in the area during the cold war (to protect our access to the area's oil). Others were created because of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
