We Must Raise The Minimum Wage

Bernie is right. We should be having a national discussion on the minimum wage, and how we can raise it to a livable wage -- because anyone who works hard at a full-time job should not make a wage that keeps them in poverty. No one is asking for the minimum wage to be raised as much as income for the rich has risen (to $28.34 an hour) -- but just to at or slightly above $10.00 an hour (and tie it to the rate of inflation). This one act would lift millions out of poverty and positively boost our faltering economy -- raising sales and profits for businesses and creating more new jobs.
