Who does the American public trust the most to fix the economy? That would be President Obama. About 50% say they have confidence in President Obama regarding the economy, while 48% say they do not have confidence in him. Those numbers may not look good to you -- until you see the numbers for Congress.
Only 33% of Americans trust congressional Republicans regarding the economy. It seems they're starting to realize that it's the congressional GOP that has blocked most attempts to help anyone but the rich. The congressional Democrats are trusted more than the Republicans, but less than President Obama. About 42% trust them while 57% don't.
This chart was made from a new Gallup Poll -- done between April 6th and 10th of a random national sample of 1,015 adults, and has a margin of error of 4 points.
