The Republican Congress Is Still Very Unpopular
Two new polls are showing that Congress is still very unpopular with the American public. Both show only 9% of the public approves of the job Congress is doing. One shows 59% disapproval, while the other shows 76% disapproval.
If the election for Congress was held today, the Democrats would hold the advantage -- by 11 points in one poll and by 6 points in the other.
The Public Policy Polling survey was done between September 22nd and 25th of a random national sample of 865 registered voters, with a 3.3 point margin of error.
The Economist / YouGov Poll was done between September 24th and 26th of a random national sample of 1,500 adults (including 1,254 registered voters), with a 3 point margin of error.
