The two charts above are from the FBI count of hate crimes in 2017 (the first year of the Trump administration). Note that the number of hate crimes rose by 17.2% (from 6,063 in 2016 to 7,106 in 2017). The vast majority of those hate crimes fall into three categories -- race/ethnicity/ancestry 58.1%, religion 22%, and sexual orientation 15.9%.
Isn't it pretty obvious that much of that increase is due to Donald Trump's hate rhetoric and failure to call out white supremacists and righting bigots -- giving them the belief that he supports their odious beliefs.
Trump promised to unite America if elected, but since taking office he has done more to divide Americans than any other president of either political party.
