The
Economist / YouGov Poll was done between January 6th and 8th of a national sample of 1,500 adults, with a 3.1 point margin of error.
The
Politico / Morning Consult Poll was done between January 4th and 6th of a national sample of 1,989 registered voters, with a 2 point margin of error.
Since shutting down the government over his demand for $5 billion to start building his border wall, Donald Trump has done his best to shift blame for the shutdown to Democrats. It's not working. As these polls show, most Americans blame Trump (and the GOP) for the shutdown. Only Trump's base thinks the Democrats are to blame.
