Who Is Leading The Democratic Race - Biden Or Warren?
Yesterday, I showed you a CNN Poll that showed Joe Biden with a significant lead over his opponents in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination. Today, I have another poll that shows something very different.
It is the latest Quinnipiac University Poll -- done between October 17th and 21st of a national sample of 713 Democratic and Democratic-leaning Independent voters, with a 4.6 point margin of error.
The Quinnipiac Poll shows Elizabeth Warren extending her lead over the field to 7 points.
Who are we to believe? Both are respected polls. Does anyone really know who is leading, or is the race still in a state of flux (with many voters still trying to make up their minds)?
I think the best answer we can get is to look at an average of all the leading polls. The chart below, from RealClearPolitics, does that. It shows Biden with a small lead over Warren of about 5.4 points.
The real point I'm trying to make is that this race is still far from over. Any of the top 6 to 9 candidates still has time to win this race. Biden, Warren, and Sanders have the current edge, but I'm not ready to count anyone out.
