Paying More And Receiving Less
This chart is pretty self-explanatory. It shows just what a mess the U.S. health care system really is -- and the reform doesn't really cure this since it still leaves most of the nation's health care in the hands of private insurance (who have the final say in what kind of treatment a patient gets, or if they get any treatment at all). The cold hard fact is that the United States pays far more for health care (both per capita and as a percentage of GDP), but doesn't not get as good a results as other G-7 nations do.
