Supporting The Troops
Too many Americans today think supporting our troops means nothing more than putting a magnetic yellow ribbon (usually made in China) on their vehicle. Frankly, I think that is one of the most meaningless things that a person could do. The people who really support our troops are those who want to bring them back home -- those who know that allowing more of our troops to die in an effort to militarily impose a government on another country is a hopeless and impossible task. Those who really support our troops also oppose sending them to die in ridiculous future conflicts in countries like Syria or Iran. And those who truly support our troops don't vote for GOP neo-conservatives, who think we can impose our will on other countries through military power.
