Trump Leads GOP In New Hampshire And Missouri

For months now, New Hampshire has been Bush country. That is no longer true. Just like in many other states, Donald Trump now holds a significant lead in that state -- 5 points over Bush, 6 points over Kasich, 8 points over Cruz, and 9 points over Fiorina. Every one is in low single-digits.

And Trump has an even bigger lead in Missouri -- 12 points over Bush and Carson, 13 points over Huckabee, 14 points over Cruz, 15 points over Walker, and 16 points over Fiorina. Again, everyone else is in low single-digits.

Trump just keeps rolling along. His percentages aren't high enough to give him the nomination, and may never get that high. But he is definitely a player in the GOP race.

The New Hampshire numbers are from the Boston Herald / Franklin Pierce University Poll -- done between August 7th and 10th of a random sample of 414 likely GOP voters, and has a margin of error of 4.8 points.

The Missouri numbers are from a new Public Policy Polling survey -- done between August 7th and 9th of a random sample of 440 GOP primary voters, with a margin of error of 3.3 points.

  1. The Missouri numbers look very similar to the Iowa numbers for both parties. I wonder if it's a Midwest thing.
