The picture above is of Greenwich, Connecticut psychic Janet Lee. According to her web site (which I will not connect to), she does tarot card readings, psychic readings, angel card readings, channeling, holistic therapy and life couching (her spelling). She seems to be sort of a one-stop shop for those that believe in woo-woo.
Ms. Lee seems to be having some problems lately. First, she claims to have been assaulted by a man working for a unknown "rival psychic". She said she was attacked outside her business, and then walked herself to a hospital, where she notified Greenwich police. She also claims to have been getting threatening phone calls from the unknown rival psychic.
But Greenwich police don't believe her. They have arrested her, and charged her with falsly reporting an incident, interfering with an officer and providing a false statement. The police think she was lying about the assault. They think she may have been assaulted by someone she knows in neighboring Norwalk.
The question I have is if she's really a psychic, why didn't she forsee the assault and call for help or avoid it altogether? Could it be that her "psychic abilities" only work when fueled by lots of customer dollars? I'll bet she didn't foresee her arrest either.
When are people going to stop falling for these frauds?

(I know - it's an old joke, but one worth repeating, IMHO).
