Stage 4 of the 100th Tour de France involved one of my favorite Tour events -- the team time trial. Each team runs the course by itself, and all team members get the time of their fifth rider to cross the finish line. This year the team time trial was run on a fairly short and flat course (only 25 kilometers). This time trial was won by the Australian team (Orica Greenedge).
Tomorrow will mark a return to individual racing -- and will be a 228.5 kilometer ride wide some medium-difficult climbs (three category 4 climbs and one category 3 climb). There should be points earned for both climbers and sprinters. Here are the stage 4 results and current standings:
