I remember going to a party in Montgomery back in the late 70s where Morris Dees was an invited guest and there were a lot of strange guys in suits there looking like they were CIA or FBI. They put a real damper on the mood of the other guests. I think this was back when Morris wasn't very well liked in Montgomery. My friend and I left the party early. Wish we had stayed so I could have met him...missed opportunities.
