Iowa Looking Like A Toss-Up Between Trump And Cruz

These charts reflect the results of the newest Quinnipiac University Poll -- done between January 5th and 10th of a random sample of 602 likely GOP caucus attendees, and has a margin of error of 4 points.

This survey has Trump with a tiny two point lead in Iowa. That is well within the poll's margin of error -- and means the two are virtually tied in that state. This verifies the NBC News/Marist Poll a couple of days ago that showed Cruz with a small lead (but also within the margin of error). These two polls show that either Cruz or Trump could be the caucus winner in Iowa.

The bottom chart reflects the opinions of Iowa Republicans on the qualities of the two candidates -- and would suggest that Cruz could be the winner.
