A Majority Of Americans Now View The Economy As Good

This chart was made from the results of CNN / ORC polls done between 2006 and 2016. The latest CNN / ORC Poll was done between September 1st and 4th of a random national sample of 886 registered voters, and has a 3.5 point margin of error.

It shows that a majority of respondents now view the economic conditions in this country as "good", while only 47% view them as "poor". This is the first year since George Bush trashed the economy in late 2007 that a majority has viewed the economy as being good.

This is good for the Democrats and Hillary Clinton. In bad economic times, voters tend to vote against the party occupying the White House.
