Trump's Job Approval Hits A Record Low In A New Poll

Trump's job approval numbers have been upside-down since he was sworn into office, and they are not getting any better. In fact, a new poll shows they are getting worse. The Quinnipiac University Poll (done between July 27th and August 1st of a random national sample of 1,125 voters, with a 3.4 point margin of error) shows that currently only 33% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing, while 61% disapprove -- a gap of 28 points!

That's both a record low for approval and record high for disapproval in this poll. And that disapproval includes both genders, all age groups, both whites and nonwhites, and Independents. This remains an administration in deep trouble.

The poll also asked respondents if they were proud or embarrassed to have Donald Trump as the nation's president. Those numbers were also terrible for Trump -- with 54% saying they were embarrassed and only 26% saying they were proud (see chart below). That was also the feeling of all the demographic groups.
