Hemp Could Save Our Forests

There could be all kinds of benefits to the legalization of marijuana (hemp). We could not only reap billions in taxes and create many thousands of new jobs and stop making criminals of decent non-violent people, but we could also use the rest of the hemp plant in many different ways -- all of them environmentally sound. We could even save the few forests we have left. But then that would make sense -- and making sense is not something our government is very good at (regardless of which party is in power).
