Things I didn't Know

Political Cartoon is by Pat Bagley in the Salt Lake Tribune.

  1. Other things that must be true because it says so on the Internet:

Karl Rove's indictment is imminent (posted May 13, 2006).

So is the Palins' divorce (posted August 1, 2009).

George W. Bush had the lowest IQ of any President in the last 50 years.

Curious Texan threatened to blow up a famous Amarillo landmark.

The Internet is a marvelous source of information, but one has to be extremely discerning about what to believe. Unfortunately, the line from the Simon & Garfunkel song The Boxer is all too prevalent in cyberspace:

"A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest."

If God had wanted us to believe everything we read on the Internet, he wouldn't have invented snopes.com.

(For those who occasionally take me too seriously, that last sentence was meant as a joke.)
